Okay kids.. lesson one...
when a vendor comes in to upgrade your xerox machine..
make sure he uses a network connection to get it up. AND
make sure that your client has passwd to you the extra
memory to utilise the new expanded firmware... sigh..
abih sehari tak pepasal...

Lesson two..

if you have a Sun UNIX machine. AND running Solaris 8
on it.. And you have a problem with the X-server not
initiating.. DO NOT remove the video driver or any of
the patches. In fact DO NOT reinstall Solaris 8 first.
CHECK the mouse cable. Heheh.. the MOUSE was
disconnected. That's it... Check that FIRST!
You'll save 6 hours trying every troubleshooting trick
in the book...

hahaha... i'm talking nonsense.. Sorry.. Need to get
that outta my head..
Tomorrow it's holiday... A walk along the beach.
an anime festival.. riding rides in jerudong park..
a movie and dinner.. and a good nights rest..

Mind frazzled, body tired

Okay.. recap.. nearing my 2 week stint in Brunei.
Project has 6 batches.
1st batch almost commisioned.. then the sun blade gave errors.
2nd batch will clear once we test spare kits and do trunking.
3rd batch + 4th batch .. they tie in.. AND... they work!
I love robots.. ;)

5th batch.. that's wee leng's job.. it involves a few switches..
and she can make channels and open ports... oh and it's done.

batch 6,... HP make great printers.. love em to bits.
xerox... support sucks.. want to bang their heads on the wall.

Anyways.. i got only 2 outstanding things to worry about.
And both things will be addressed tomorrow.

Satu tu .. apa bleh buat.. tak pepasal ada la satu workstation tu
tanak ikut cakap... buat kejap mati kejap tak mati plak hard drive
dia.. tetengok.. rasa2 macam benda lain rosak.. bukan disk..
tapi itu akan di verify kan oleh expert/vendor2 kita esok..

yang lagi satu tu.. ala.. orang xerox buat lawak plak nak suro
dia nyer singapore supplier hantar CD with firmware update..
takkan takde download site somewhere kot?
get off the net la... firmware besa mana pun.. bukannyer OS..
Sure ada Xerox product service site.. tah2 bleh amik jer kat situ.

anyways.. after that.. i'm taking wee leng to jerudong park.
I half-half about flirting with her or not..
she really turned the heat on that night we went clubbing..

but it's great having female company for these occasions..
i just must remember, it's a work relationship..
